Today I'm sending best birthday wishes to another wonderful friend - Irene. And I have it in good authority that the title means Happy Birthday in Basque.

Many years ago Irene was in one of my clares and we hit it off straight away, and sin started to go for the occasional beer.

Although she has now moved back to the Basque country we still stay in touch, although not as much as either of us would like I'm sure. Y te echo de menos, guapa.

And here we are just last year, with Irene's hubby Inigo.
