World Listening Day

Today is World Listening Day, started in 2010 on the birthday of Canadian composer R Murray Shafer.

This year's theme is The Unquiet Earth, and it is suggested we try to listen to those things normally out of our range of hearing: the sounds of nature that we do often miss as we rush around, and the sounds the earth makes itself as it spins around.

I intend to take a quiet moment today in the garden and listen to what's going on out there.
