The new shopping centre in Vilanova i la Geltrú, which is scheduled to open at the end of the year, will have 22 commercial and restaurant spaces.

'Vilanova Commercial Park' is in the Masia d'en Barreres industrial estate, has 1,000 parking spaces and a built-up area of ​​32,000 square meters and includes improvements to access to the city. Hopefully the surrounding area will be cleaned up, as at present it is a dumping ground.

The new centre will create between 500 and 600 jobs. Jordi Medina, Councilor for City Promotion says, “Vilanova continues to have a commercial hub in the city centre, this will complement what we already have. The City Council has kept in mind the desire to preserve the commercial model of downtown".
