Mental Health Day.
Today is Mental Health (awareness) Day, so I just want to check in with everyone.; how are you doing today?
As someone who has mental health issues from time to time ( like most people), and a qualified psychotherapist, I am well aware that sometimes it is all too easy to sweep such problems under the carpet, or that often family and friends don't want to hear about it.
It can be really difficult to hear someone you love share their mental health issues or concerns, but ignoring those or trying to change the subject, or dismiss them can only make things worse, and definitely not better. Often a kindly ear listening can diffuse a problem.
