Hispanic Day

Today is Spanish National Day, Hispanic day, or Columbus day as it is sometimes known. Columbus has been getting bad (valid?)press lately so his assiciation to the day and al it means is controversial now.

Today is a holiday in Spain, although not really celebrated in Catalunya, with parades in many Spanish cities of the armed forces.
