Grattis på födelsedagen

Which is Swedish for Happy Birthday. Today we are saying Grattis på födelsedagen to my lovely friend Laila, who is obviously from Sweden.

We met just over 10 years ago while walking the Camino Frances, the most well known of the Caminos of Santiago. Here's our 'family group' taking a breakfast break. Laila is on the far right.

And later in the same year she travelled here for my big birthday celebrations.

We did have tentative plans to do part of the camino again last year, but obviously they never came to fruition. I look forward to a time when we can be together again.
