AKA pomegranate - the answer to Sunday's challenge.

There are a couple of trees near our home, but there are many scattered around Vilanova, and all over Spain.

Pomegranate juice contains higher levels of antioxidants than most other fruit juices and has three times more antioxidants than red wine and green tea, which can help remove free radicals, protect cells from damage, and reduce inflammation.
The seeds may be annoying to get out of the fruit but well worth the effort. I find the best way is to break the fruit open after piercing the skin, then hold them upside down over a bowl and bash the top with a spoon.
