Ferretería

When we first bought our home here we needed to do a lot of jobs to improve it, and many of those things we got in a ferretería that used to be on the Rambla, where there is now a Massimo Duti shop.

It was called Ferretería Alba, and the staff were truly helpful, especially as we usually arrived not knowing what the items we wanted were called (and There was no Google translate in those days), but with gestures and goodwill we always came away with what we needed, and on occasion were given the smaller items for free.

I was reminded of the place when this photo recently appeared on FB.

Anyone else remember this great shop?
