End of summer

The local council has recently declared that this summer has been a success with more tourists...
Vilanova i la Geltrú closes the summer season with data that show the good recovery of normal tourism in the city, although there are still some restrictions arising from the health situation.
One of the data that most exemplifies this recovery is the number of services provided at the Tourist Offices in Plaça de la Vila and Passeig de Ribes Roges. This year, between July and August, 1,692 visitors were served. A figure that represents an increase of more than 100%, compared to the summer of 2020. In terms of visitor profile, family tourism remains the majority (35%), followed closely by the individual visitor, (34%), couples (26%) and groups of friends (4.9%)
The origin has not changed in relation to last year, and the majority is still national tourism (84%) followed by France and the United Kingdom. Within the national team, the majority of visitors were Catalans, followed by Basques, Aragonese and Madrilenians.
