Don't Feed the Pigeons

For some time now there has been an ordinance in Vilanova prohibiting the feeding of pigeons.

The powers that be are now enforcing this with funds of up to €750. So if your sitting in a cafe and one of our feathered friends joins you don't feed it unless you are ready to be fined.

At TdM we recently had a letter from the council informing us of a problem with pigeons in the square, and about complaints recieved. After investigating they found that someone in the buildings there was feeding the pigeons and a fine was given.

You only need to sort in a cafe on the Rambla for a short while to witness the damage they can do when a table is left in disarray and not cleared immediately.
