Churros

Or Xurros as they are called in Catalunya.

When made well they're a delicious doughnutty treat. And one of the best places to get them in Vilanova is on the Rambla...at Xurrerua Trifon, which is always busy on a Saturday morning like today.

As well as the regular Xurros you can get cream filled, or chocolate ones called xuxes and a while variety of different additions:

When we used to come here on holiday Xuxes filled with cream (more like what we call custard) were a regular treat. Now I'm here 24/7 I rarely have them, because if I did I would soon be even porkier than I currently am.
