Books

Not sure if I've already mentioned this here before but a couple of months ago i joined a bookclub, in an effort to get me to read a bit more again.

Tomorrow is this month's meeting and we have been reading these two books.

They are both written in the form of letters, the first one just before the Second World War, and the other just after.

They are very different in style, pace and subject matter and if you like reading I thoroughly recommend both and both are available in a wide range of languages.

The first i saw as a play here in Catalan last year, which stayed with me a long time cresting a need to read the book.

The second is also a film, which i can't imagine works in quite the same way, but that i shall talk a look at if i can find it someplace.
