Arghhhh
With guests arriving this weekend I popped into TdM yesterday to turn on the central heating and make final checks. And guess what? Nope the boiler wouldn't ignite. Panic.
A quick call to the Gas company, complicated by my change of nationality and documents, but all dealt with politely and helpfully with advice that the technician would arrive before 3pm - what could have been a two hour wait, with little to amuse me.
Half an hour later the guy arrived removed the cover, clicked a few things and voila, it fired up. He said it was probably because it's not been used almost all year, and suggested I fire it up every month if there are no guests - makes sense.
Such a relief - our next guests won't be cold.
