Over the last couple of weeks the local fire service has been extremely busy, primarily putting out large fires in the local countryside - up to 100 hectares of first and scrubland has been consumed by fire. The fire plane has been out a couple of times, filling up in the med to drop gallons off water over the raging fires.

The fire service also had to deal with many incidents during the night of Sant Joan last week, answering 464 call outs before midnight.

This time of year is terrible for the service, and as things are exciter to be dry for a long time yet I'm sure they'll be busy too.
