Sunday,  and another fun day in Vilanova. The Sunday of Comparses is yet another highlight in the events for Carnaval,  and in the annual calendar of the town. 

Although most people will have had a late night last night (early morning) after the Carnaval Fancy Dress Ball in the town square, they will also have been up early.  Comparses starts around 8am. 

Comparses is loud and wild.  Groups from the neighbourhoods,  associations,  schools,  organisations dance around the town throwing hard-boiled sweets at each other and the crowd, accompanied by nana playing a variety of music,  although the local turn of Comparses is a must too. From 11.30 there are battles in the town square which have to be seen to be believed.
