Today,  the day of saint Antony Abbat, patrón saint of Vilanova,  is a holiday for our town. 

St Anthony was a bit like st Francis of Assisi and cared for all the animals so today you can take your pets into the church at the top of the Rambla fur a blessing. 

Around lunch time there is a parade around and along the Rambla principal of horses and carts/ carriages etc,  which proves to be quite a spectacle every year.
