Today in Vilanova there has been a vegan festival in one of the larger squares.  

I took a look around it this morning and although there weren't a great deal of stalls it was still a great effort, especially considering the foul weather we've had today.  

There were probably about a dozen stalls both selling goods and providing information, as well as workshops and talks on a whole variety of subjects.  

As, in my experience, Spain is fairly new to veganism and I fully expect things to improve over the next few years, the fair was a good start.  

For a change my request for rice milk in my coffee was not met with raised eyebrows.  

Having been veggie for over 30 years I didn't find any surprises; but I'm sure it was excellent for anyone new to this lifestyle.
