I'm sure many of you are scratching your heads wondering what on earth is FIMPT, unless you've already seen my video of the Plaça de la Vila this morning in Facebook.

FIMPT stands for the Festival Internacional de Music Popular Traditional. I'm sure even the non-Catalan speakers out there can even work out what that means!

There is a website for more information, but you'll need to brush up on your Catalan first!

The festival is an annual one and this year lasts from the 14th until the 16th October. Venues are located all over the town, many free and a few with minimal cover charges. IT might not be the kind of music you are used to from your radio, but many of the acts are well worth a listen.
