11/11
Today is Armistice Day. A Day to remember those who laid down their lives, and continue to do so, so that we can live in relative freedom.
The Allied powers signed a ceasefire agreement with Germany at Compiégne, France, at 11:00 a.m. on November 11, 1918, bringing the World War 1 to a close.

This day also has a sad meaning for me as in 1998 at 11am on this day our local vet visited our home to euthanise our first dog, Chasca. 🥲
